As much as I have enjoyed paint pouring and the excitement of watching the designs literally come together right before my eyes, I have decided to courageously embrace a new form of art for me –modern abstract. Instead of pouring paint, towards the end of 2024 I began creating modern abstracts using a palette knife, sea sponges, and various other items to create interesting texture. I have also truly been enjoying painting seascapes and landscapes with my fingers!
Lord willing, I hope to take part in three art fairs again this year –2025. In order to make room for my new collection, I will be marking down most of my previous paint pouring art to 20% off of their original already affordable prices. If you live in the Chicago, IL area please consider coming to the following art fairs where, Lord willing, I will be featuring all of my art, plus the jewelry that I semi-create by incorporating discs of the prettiest portions of the non-toxic acrylic paint (that dries on my art table after making some of my fluid art paintings) into pendants (that include stainless steel chains with lobster claw clasps), high quality metal oval hinged bangle bracelets, and stainless steel earrings. I will also be featuring some of my original nature photography, as well as large and small crystal teardrop sun-catchers that I create featuring genuine crystal teardrops and add to each sun-catcher a different mixture of glass, acrylic, metal, semi-precious stones, and black, heart-shaped volcanic rocks!
