When I started painting back in 2021, I was only doing the paint pouring technique which tends to cause a lot of waste of paint even though I use the prettiest portions of the paint skins to add to jewelry that I semi-create. So, after creating one modern abstract painting using a small palette knife a while back, I decided to try creating a seascape using one, as well, and here are the results:
When pondering the possibilities for a title for this painting, I began to search for some Scriptures that had to to with sunrises and sunsets and decided to go with ‘When Morning Dawns, When Evening Fades’ as the title, based on a few verses in Psalm 65:5-8, which says:
“You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, who formed the mountains by your power, having armed yourself with strength, who stilled the roaring of the seas, the roaring of their waves, and the turmoil of the nations. The whole earth is filled with awe at your wonders; where morning dawns, where evening fades, you call forth songs of joy.”
I also thought that basing this title on Psalm 65 was perfect for this painting because I had painted the waves as if they were crashing; roaring.
Thank you very much for stopping by today.
God bless each and every one of you!
