ART AND FOUND DAY 2024

Well, it’s that time again when artists from around the world gather together in their communities on March 12th and place some of their art around their neighborhoods in order for someone to find it with the intention of bringing a smile to someone’s face! It’s a nice way to give back to our communities, too! 😊This wonderful idea was started by artist, Courtney Senior, who lives in Canada, and now this movement has gone worldwide!

I created two 8×10 fluid acrylic paintings and chose the first one as the one that I would leave for someone to find on March 12, ’24.

Since I had to get my taxes done on the day of Art And Found Day — March 12th — at the Senior Center in my area, I thought this would be the perfect place to leave my art! So, after my taxes were done I took my package that had my painting wrapped and neatly tucked inside and laid it on the table for someone to find. However, I thought that maybe it would be a better idea if I actually asked someone if they would like free art in case people would be afraid to take this package since the world we live in is not very safe anymore. I asked this nice woman and she said that if I wasn’t standing there and asked her, she would not have taken it because of the possibility of it being a bomb or something, so I’m glad that I decided to ask her instead of just leaving it! We had a lovely chat, too! 😀She gave me her permission to post this picture. By the way, she loved the painting! 😁
