The wonder and beauty of God’s creation never ceases to amaze me: the splendor of the colors and designs on the wings of each butterfly, the beauty in the many shades of crimson, pinks, and golds in a sunset, the colorful plumes on a peacock as they unfold their tail feathers as if so that all may behold their God-given glory, the beauty of snow as it shimmers in the sunlight and moonlight, and the amazing beauty that one can behold in each delicate snowflake as we closely gaze upon their intricate designs that are unique from one snowflake to the next!
As I watched the snow gently falling, I quickly decided to get my camera and began to capture its beauty before it stopped. Since the wind had previously blown out my screen window and it still had not been put back in, I noticed that some snow had gathered in the corner of my windowsill. So, I quickly put my Sony 30mm f3.5 macro lens on my Sony A6000 and decided to try and take some photos hoping to capture my very first picture of a snowflake. God filled me with delight and amazement at what my eyes beheld when I cropped into one of the images that I had captured before the warm air in my kitchen began to melt the snow! The image that I posted below is the result.
How beautiful and perfect it was before it melted! I can’t wait for the next snowfall so that I can go outside and take some truly close up shots of more snowflakes!

As beautiful as snowflakes are, the crowning glory of God’s creation is man himself, whom he made in His own image. He has made each one of us unique; none of us even have the same fingerprints! Just consider how the eye functions, or the heart works, and you will see a clear demonstration of the reality of God and evidence to show that there is no way we evolved by random chance.
The so-called “big bang” could in no way have created the amazing beauty, design, and functionality of the human body, just as an ignited pile of dynamite could in no way create or design a McLaren F1 out of a heap of steel!
God has displayed so many magnificent things in creation to declare His love, glory, power, and majesty, and to show the world that He is real, so that man indeed is without excuse!
Take time to reflect upon the beauty of God’s creation in every season! Since the winter season is soon approaching, take the time to appreciate the beauty that can be seen in freshly fallen snow and in the beauty and elegance that can be seen in the intricate details in snowflakes!
RELATED SCRIPTURES
“He says to the snow, ‘Fall on the earth,’ and to the rain shower, ‘Be a mighty downpour.’ So that all men he has made may know his work, he stops every man from his labor. The animals take cover; they remain in their dens. The tempest comes out of its chamber, the cold from the driving winds. The breath of God produces ice, and the broad waters become frozen.” (Job 37:6-10)
“Cleanse me with hyssop and I will be clean; wash me and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones you have crushed rejoice. Hide your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of my salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me. Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will turn back to you.” (Psalm 51:7-13)
“The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature– have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.” (Romans 1:18-20)
“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place. When I was woven together in the depths of the earth, your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me our your thoughts, O God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand.” (Psalm 139:13-18)
