I will be telling you about Canvy in just a few minutes, but first I want to share something with you about a very special event coming up in March:
Recently I joined Instagram and learned about a wonderful worldwide art event that began just last year (2021) –Art And Found Day. It was started by a very talented Canadian artist, Courtney Senior, who is actually one of my favorite artists. On March 12th artists, who choose to participate, pick one of their works of art and choose a place to leave it at for someone to find in order to bring them a little joy! Artists include a note sharing their contact information with the hope that the person will let them know that their work of art was found and is safely in that person’s home.
On the outside of the well wrapped work of art a note is attached with the hashtag #ArtAndFoundDay along with some information to let the person know that inside of the package is a free work of art; not a scam, a bomb, etc.. Not only is it a wonderful way to give back to the community, but also it is a way to let people know about local artists in case someone is looking for a special piece of art for their home or as a gift for someone special in their lives. That sounded like such a fun and amazing event and I wanted to take part in it!
Then I learned about some of the sponsors of this event, one being Smartartist.
“Smartist is an app that allows artists to place their artwork in unique, realistic and beautiful places in just a few clicks.”
One of the prizes that will be given away to one chosen artist who participates in this special day, is a free Smartartist one year premium membership! Sadly, though, I discovered that this app is only available for Apple iPhones and I have an android; Samsung Galaxy. However, after doing some research I came across a similar site called, Canvy that can even be used on your desktop!! They have over 500 rooms for you to choose from to display your artwork!! You can even open up a free hobbyist account and have access to some of their rooms where you can display your art, and you always have the option to upgrade to a paid account which will give you access to all of their premium content!
Displaying your artwork on Canvy (and similar sites) will give people a realistic look at how an artist’s painting will look in their rooms since each work of art is fit to match the dimensions of the rooms, furniture, and the objects in the rooms.
To some degree, each room is customizable, too: the wall colors can be changed, as well as the colors of some of the furniture, art frames, objects in the room, etc.. To start with, I opened up a free account. I found that displaying my art in their rooms really gives my paintings a much more professional look and it is so much fun to do!! (For more information, click here: CANVY).
Here are just a few of my paintings that I have displayed on Canvy so far. To read a detailed description of each of these paintings, please consider clicking on the following link: REFLECTING HIS GLORY FINE ARTS – CANVY
Thank you very much for stopping by today.
