NEW METALLIC RINGPOUR ACRYLIC PAINTING

Painting - Refined Like Silver - 22022 - Mary K Dalke Reflecting His Glory Fine Arts DSC05669

I have entitled this metallic acrylic painting, ‘REFINED LIKE SILVER’ based on Psalm 66:10.
“For you, God, tested us; you refined us like silver.”

When I attended my first Bible study after becoming a Christian, our teacher explained to us how silver is refined in the fire to bring up the impurities/dross of the silver until it is refined; purified. So it is that when we place our faith & trust in the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, our faith is tested and tried in the fires of affliction to make us more in the image and likeness of Jesus Christ. Just as in this painting how the pink paint was hardly there anymore (just at the very bottom & a little on the left side), so it is when we allow God to do a work in our sinful hearts; the trials that come our way test our faith to prove if it is genuine or not (Read 1 Peter 1:3-9), and purifies us until the impurities in our lives are burned away. God has definitely done that in my life & continues to do so!

In the midst of hard times we also learn to trust God more than ever before!
