The longing of my heart to fulfill the strong desire that my dear sister had for me to do something with my photography will finally come to fruition next Saturday and Sunday, May 27th and 28th of 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the 34th Prairie Arts Festival! Sadly, my dear sister died two years ago, and even though I had the privilege of being accepted to take part in two art fairs last year, having my art exhibit at her favorite place — Prairie Center for the Arts — is my way of truly honoring her.
Prairie Center for the Arts has a lovely, serene park and features two beautiful swans — Louis and Serena — that gracefully swim in their large curved pond. These beautiful swans brought a lot of joy to my dear sister when she frequently visited them in the midst of the many extremely difficult health issues that she endured.
Next Saturday as I begin to set up my nature photography prints as well as my many acrylic fluid art paintings (with the help of my daughter and other two dear sisters) for all the visitors that will come to the 34th Prairie Arts Festival, it will be a bittersweet experience for me, but one that I am so very grateful for and truly blessed to be a part of!
If you live in the Chicago area, please consider stopping by my booth — #44 — (which will be located in their parking lot) and saying, “Hello.” 🙂
