Two of my dear sisters and my sweet daughter have been so very kind and truly helpful and encouraging to me as I started my art journey by displaying my photography and acrylic art at art shows and craft fairs in our local area last year. However, I wanted to find a way where I could sell my art on my own so as not to end up wearing my dear family out! I considered renting out a space at The Painted Tree and another local creative marketplace, but the cost to rent a spot, as well as the necessary requirements, were too much for me.
To make a long story short (which is oftentimes very hard for me to do), I then prayed for God to help me find a way for me to sell my art without having to disrupt the lives of my dear family so much. I also prayed that because it seems as if my childcare job may soon be coming to an end! Very soon after that, in answer to that prayer, God had me discover an amazing new art gallery in my area that just opened up at the end of last year —The Empty Corner!! I was simply scrolling on Facebook at the very end of April or the beginning of May and “just happened” to see one of their posts! With courage, I decided to contact them and now I have a spot where my artwork is put on display in their wonderful little art gallery!! Presently it will only be for the next four weeks, but if you live in the Chicago area I would love it if you would stop by and browse through my artwork and consider purchasing one of my paintings or crystal teardrop sun-catchers to enjoy in your home or to give as a gift to that special someone in your life!!
I am SO very appreciative to the wonderful people at The Empty Corner for giving me the amazing opportunity of having my art put on display in their lovely new art gallery!! I am hoping to soon be able to have many of my photos from my nature photography series framed, and available for purchase there, as well!
